Detailed Problem Description

1. Open Contract quantity for contract 40011093 is not shown in ZHOT Report
2. Demand is not displayed in /AFS/MD04 for the above contract

Solution Analysis and Recommendations

The following analysis was done and corrective steps recommended after replicating the issue in NECNEQ500 -
1. The open order quantities were displayed as ZERO in the ZHOT report as there were no entry in the AFS MRP table J_ABDSI which is being used in the report to check the order quantities.
2. The demand for the contract was not shown in MD04 as the key parameters mentioned below were not maintained on the material master-

Further analysis revealed how the requirements were generated for SO but not for contracts for the same material. It was observed that at configuration level, Item category TAN (found on SO's) is configured to generate requirements in absence of the above parameters but the same has not been maintained for Item category KMN (found on contracts).

For Sales orders Item Cat Requirement type this is maintained SD Configuration where as for item categories of contract those are not maintained, hence though the MRP Group is not maintained in sales orders with the item cat config sales orders requirement is passed to MD04.
